Our clients explored every builder option and did their homework before they chose us. Then they trusted one team to carry the build through, start to finish.

The project

An impressive site in Pukekohe, and a home with the scale to match it.

Four bedrooms, an office, three bathrooms and open-plan living across 420sqm — a home with room to spread out.

The design called for large architectural joinery to match 4m ceilings in the living area and 3m ceilings through the rest of the home. Outside, a Sto plaster cladding system by Thames Plasterers, long-run roofing and copper spouting, a 20m by 6.5m garage, and a pool and pool house to finish.

The brief

What we were
asked to do

Clients who had done their homework, and a build that had to justify the choice.

The objective

Our clients explored all their builder options and did their homework before meeting us and viewing our work. They selected Ohlson + Whitelaw for an impressive site in Pukekohe, Auckland, and a generous home of 420sqm — four bedrooms, an office, three bathrooms and open-plan living to spread out.

Our solution

An impressive design that saw us build large architectural joinery to match 4m high ceilings in the living area and 3m high ceilings throughout the rest of the home. The external cladding is the Sto plaster system by Thames Plasterers, with long-run roofing and copper spouting, an impressive 20m long by 6.5m wide garage, and a beautiful pool and pool house to top it off.

The result

Our clients are not only impressed with our building and finishing skills, but with Craig's management, attention to detail and the ideas that brought their vision to life. The home took Gold and Gold Reserve at the 2015 House of the Year.
